Painting and Decorating Association (PDA)
The Painting and Decorating Association (PDA) was established in 2002, following a merger of the British Decorators’ Association and the Painting & Decorating Federation. The British Decorators’ Association was originally founded in 1894.
With some 2,500 members this new organisation is Britain's largest trade body dedicated to the painting and decorating trade. Members include sole traders through to large-scale national contractors.
British Coatings Federation
The British Coatings Federation - The BCF represents about 130 paint manufactuers , which produce about 90% of the UK output of coatings, printing inks and wallcoverings. The Federation provides training initiatives, programmes and qualifications for the surface coatings industry; lobbies UK, European and International authorities for the benefit of members; develops industry-focussed guidance; agrees industry priorities; and encourages industry best practice.
Community RePaint
Community RePaint are able to take back unwanted paint and use it to help vital community projects. This site gives more information on where you can dispose of your paint and what types of paint can be taken back. A proportion of Brewers mistinted paints goes to Community RePaint.
National Painting and Decorating Show
The next National Painting and Decorating Show will be held in Coventry on the 9th and 10th November 2010. Brewers will be exhibiting along with many suppliers to the industry.
