Varnishes

Varnishes are available generally in single pack form but there are two pack versions available for use in heavy duty applications too.

There are distinct categories for interior, floors, exterior, marine and fire protection.

Currently there are water-based versions (sometimes referred to as “quick drying”) and solvent-based versions. Varnishes come in three different sheens - matt - satin and gloss.

Clear varnish is usable over suitably prepared natural wood and over wood previously treated with appropriate wood dyes.

Varnishes tinted in a wide selection of natural wood colours are also available.
