Minimaluxe - The Design Movement For Neutral Lovers

November 4th, 2024
Minimaluxe is the new design movement
for those who prefer a pared back scheme. Combining minimalist ideology with
quiet luxury, this scheme is perfect for those who want something soothing and
understated. Here we talk about minimaluxe and key design tips to help you get
the look.
The Light Minimaluxe Colour Palette:
For those who like light and bright
neutrals, here are some key colours from the Albany Design Collection that will
help you bring a sense of calm and warmth to your interior:
- Snowshill White - an off white with cool lilac undertones.
- Fontwell - a mid-tone, olive green with strong, grey undertones.
- Borrowash - a comforting taupe, inspired by a natural hessian weave.
- Wallpaper - Amara Panel in Cream/Soft Gold and Cloud in Cream.

The Dark Minimaluxe Colour Palette:
If you would like to create a more
cocooning scheme, opt for a darker, bolder colour palette:
- Cinders - a warm black with brown undertones
- Lympstone - a soft taupe with warm undertones.
- Steyning White - an off white with strong grey/green undertones.
- Wallpaper - Sienna Marble in Black.

Minimaluxe Styling Tips:
1. Investing
in a few key quality furniture pieces
To get the look,
invest in some high-quality furniture pieces. Try to find pieces with soft,
rounded edges in high quality materials for a luxe look. If you’re on a budget,
you could also look to upcycle some vintage finds with some Albany wallpaper, woodcare or
colours from the Albany Design Collection.
2. Using Wallpaper
Using a simple
wallpaper design can be a great way to build layers within your scheme. Using a
plain or lightly textured, high-quality wallpaper can make a huge difference to
your space and there are so many to choose from with Albany wallpaper. In our
light scheme, we chose Amara Panel from the Albany Ravello collection to create the perfect
backdrop.

3. Styling Accessories
Selecting a few key pieces to style your space will bring in the finishing touches of luxury. You could opt for a large piece of art to become the centre piece of your room – if you’re feeling creative you could even create your own minimalist piece using left over paint from your scheme for a cohesive look. We have opted to frame some Cloud wallpaper from the Albany Ravello collection, as we could determine how big we wanted the art piece to be…and it doesn’t break the bank!
You can also style the space using fresh foliage, coffee table books, candles, trays and frames for a luxe look, just remember not to over style the space as you do not want to ignore the minimalist element of the design.
4. Lighting
Lighting can make
a huge difference when elevating a space. Choosing a sculptural lamp and using
uplighting can soften a space whilst highlighting key areas of your scheme.

5. Fabrics
Using high
quality fabrics to dress windows in your space will make such a difference to
getting that quiet luxury look. With hundreds of fabrics to choose from with

If you’re working
in a space without windows, you can introduce some softer touches through
upholstery, rugs or decorative throws and cushions.
