Get Your Guest Room Ready For The Festive Season!
November 2nd, 2023
With the Christmas season fast
approaching, now is the time to get your guest rooms ready for guests to stay
during the festive break. We have put together this beautifully soft palette to
help your guests relax in a totally chic space and some top tips to create the
look without breaking the bank!
The Albany Guest Room Palette:
Winsham White - a soft white with warm
undertones.
Taupe - a delicate brown with grey
undertones.
Victorian Butterfly - a gentle pink
alluding to the gracefulness of butterfly wings.
Fudge Cake – a soft brown-ish pink
with a true dusky feel.
Chocolate Berry - this rich and dark
pink feels as though it has been enrobed in chocolate.
The power of ombre:
Ombre
is a trend that isn’t going away! It is a great way to incorporate a palette of
colours and create a beautiful feature wall.
The delicate blend feels beautifully serene, making a perfect backdrop for a
calming space.
To get the look, paint your chosen colours in sections. Leave the sections where the colours meet last, so you have a wet edge to blend. Using a clean brush, blend the two colours together to get a beautiful ombre look!
Painting furniture:
We love the transformative power of painting old furniture. Recycling old pieces of beautiful furniture, saving money on new and expensive furniture and completely personalising pieces to fit with your colour scheme…what’s not to love! We used Taupe on an old cupboard we picked up from a charity shop for £10.

Soft and vintage accessories for a charming space:
Whilst you’re thrifting for furniture,
looking for second-hand accessories can be a great way to achieve a beautifully
vintage feel.
We used vintage suitcases and second-hand lamps to give a beautifully eclectic look that didn’t cost the earth. We also got a little crafty and created our own butterflies to add interest to the walls.
