In detail

Crown Trade Acrylic Satin is a low VOC content satin finish. A washable product which is thinned with water and is applied by brush and is suitable for interior and exterior use. 

Touch dry in 1-2 hours and recoatable after 4-6 hours. Water based satin is a tough, durable mid sheen finish for wood and metal, which is non-yellowing and provides good resistance to knocking and scuffing.

Can be applied over most previously painted surfaces without an undercoat. On new surfaces apply over the top of a suitable primer.

For Interior and Exterior use. Crown Trade Acrylic Satin Finish is a virtually solvent free alternative to traditional solvent-borne Satin Finish, offering a smooth elegant finish for interior and exterior wood and correctly primed metalwork. Acrylic Satin Finish will show no visible yellowing and has been developed to benefit from good flow, reducing brushmarks.

Preparation
All surfaces must be suitably dry, sound and free from anything that will interfere with the adhesion of the materials to be applied. Remove all loose or defective coatings.
Previously painted surfaces should be thoroughly abraded to provide a key. Remove all dust. Treat any knots with two thin coats of fresh knotting. Fill any fixing holes, open joints and shallow surface defects using a suitable proprietary filler. Prime all bare woodwork with one coat of Crown Trade New Build Acrylic Primer Undercoat or Water Based Primer Undercoat.
Prime all bare metalwork with one coat of Crown Trade Water Based Metal Primer. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.

Application
Stir thoroughly before use. Apply two full coats of Crown Trade Acrylic Satin over all surfaces to be decorated. Crown Trade Acrylic Satin Finish should be applied liberally and evenly using a good quality synthetic brush, roller or spray. Care should be taken to avoid brushing over areas that are drying. In warm environments the paint can dry rapidly and overbrushing should be avoided. Surfaces can be dampened down with a clean cloth and water prior to application to help maintain the wet edge. We suggest that for large areas such as flush doors, Crown Trade Acrylic Satin Finish is applied by brush or medium pile roller before laying off by brush.
Do not use in temperatures below 5°C or in high humidity.

Up to 14m² per litre. Spreading rate is dependent upon surface texture and porosity.

Touch Dry in 1 - 2 hours.
