In detail
Crown Trade Covermatt is a low VOC content matt finish. A product which is thinned with water and is applied by brush, roller, airless spray or HVLP Spray and is suitable for interior use. Touch dry in 1-2 hours and recoatable after 4 hours. Contract Matt is a decorative coating for use on new plaster surfaces.
Crown Trade Covermatt provides a water permeable finish which allows the substrate to dry. Non-wipeable products are not suitable for wiping, washing or scrubbing.
Crown Trade Covermatt can be applied to coated plaster surfaces without thinning. On new plaster, thin the first coat with water to manufacturers recommendations.

FOR INTERIOR USE
Crown Trade's formulation provides a high opacity emulsion allowing surfaces to 'breathe' and dry naturally. Suitable for use on new plaster surfaces and application by airless spray.
Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are sound, dry, clean, and free from dirt, oil, grease or other contamination. On new plaster or highly porous surfaces apply a "mist" coat of Crown Trade Covermatt thinned with 40% clean water. AVOID OVERTHINNING. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. For further information contact our Customer Relations Team.
Application
Stir thoroughly. Crown Trade Covermatt may be applied by brush, roller or spray. 2 coats are normally recommended. On smooth surfaces, use a good quality medium pile roller. With airless spray, use a minimum fluid tip size of 0.013"-0.015" with a pump pressure of approximately 2250W per square inch.
Do not apply when air or substrate temperature are likely to fall below 8°C. Do not apply over glue size, clearcolle or PVA.
Spreading Capacity
Up to 16m2 per litre dependent on surface texture and porosity.
Drying
Touch dry in 1-2 hours. Recoatable after 4 hours.
Cleaning
Clean equipment with water immediately after use.
Transportation and Storage
Ensure this pack is stored upright and secure at all times. Protect this pack from extreme hot and cold temperatures.
