Additional information

For wood & metal.

Before you start
Planning ahead really helps, prepare the surfaces and choose the right tools.
  • If necessary, move or cover your furniture.
  • Make sure all surfaces are clean, dry and free from dirt, grease and grime.
  • Thoroughly abrade pre-painted surfaces to provide a key.
  • Don't forget to keep the room well ventilated, this helps reduce drying times.
  • Make sure you wear a suitable mask to protect yourself from inhaling dust when dry sanding. Remember to take extra care when preparing pre-1960's surfaces as these may contain harmful lead. If you need advice on this, give us a call.

How to use
  • If you're painting new wood or metal, you will need to prime the surface by using a suitable primer/undercoat.
  • Stir paint if there is any surface film. Load your brush generously and apply nice and evenly, make sure you don't overspread.
  • In warm conditions the paint can dry rapidly and over brushing should be avoided.
  • Don't apply in really damp or humid conditions or in room temperatures below 10°C.
  • When you've finished, wash your equipment thoroughly with a proprietary cleaner.
