Prepare
Scrape: remove flaking or defective paint and sand down the surface to remove any sheen. Refer to health, safety and environmental information.
Clean: make sure the surface is clean (no dirt or grease) and dry.
Seal: if a bare surface, apply the appropriate Dulux Primer. Treat any knots in wood with a suitable knotting solution. If the surface is damaged, repair using the appropriate Polycell product.
Paint
Stir: stir thoroughly before use to ensure the paint is completely mixed
Apply: apply using a clean, good quality brush. Apply a thick even coat of paint taking care not to spread it too far. Failure to do so may require a second coat, particularly when painting over a darker colour with a lighter topcoat. Leave a minimum of 16 hours between coats.
Dry: leave for 16 hours to dry. Newly painted doors and windows should not be closed.
Clean
Clean: for best results, scrape off excess paint from the brush and clean with Polycell Brush Cleaner.
Store: store paint in dry conditions and protect from extreme temperatures.
