In detail

Fired Earth Water based eggshell is a low VOC content mid sheen finish. A wipeable product which is thinned with water and is suitable for interior use.

Touch dry in 1-2 hours and recoatable after 4 hours. Being a water based eggshell it is a tough, durable low sheen finish for interior plaster and wood.

With a highly scrubbable finish it is an ideal product for high traffic areas such as hallways, kitchens and bathrooms. Can be applied over most previously painted surfaces without an undercoat. On new plaster surfaces thin the first coat with water to the manufacturers recommendations. On new wooden surfaces apply over the top of a suitable primer.

    Additional information

    Surface Preparation

Surfaces must be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material, including dirt, grease etc. Repairs should be carried out prior to painting. Areas contaminated with fungal or algal growth should be treated with a proprietary fungicidal agent or with 25% household bleach before painting.

Surfaces previously treated with oil-based paint should be lightly abraded before painting.

Bare woodwork and metals should be primed with a suitable primer undercoat. When applying on external surfaces, ensure a suitable primer is used.

    Application

    • Do not apply in temperatures below 5°C or excessive heat above 30°C.
    • Stir thoroughly before use.
    • Two coats over a suitably primed surface are recommended for maximum protection.
    • Apply with a brush, short pile roller, paint pad or airless spray.

    Clean Up

Upon finishing, remove as much paint as possible from the application equipment before washing with soapy water.

Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of paint. Do not empty paint into frains or watercourses or dispose of where ground or surface water may be affected.
