    Additional information

    Profloor
Profloor is an exceptionally hard wearing, water based two pack epoxy paint used for coating a variety of floor and wall surfaces. The formulation utilises the latest low odour resins, giving a single coloured hard wearing off-gloss finish. Ideal for heavy duty use on concrete, masonry, wood, asphalt and tarmac. Anti-slip option is recommended for outside use.

    Preparation
It is essential that all surfaces are clean, dry and free from particulate contamination, laitance, oils, grease, fats and water. Power floated surfaces should be etched first. This can be done chemically using Coo-Var Acid Etch, or mechanically using abrading equipment or shotblasting. This process should also remove any residual laitence produced when the concrete dries. New concrete should be left to dry for about 3 months before coating (or 1 month per inch of screed - whichever is the lesser).

    Application
Do not apply when the temperature is less than 10°C or more than 30°C and relative humidity is more than 90%. Apply by brush or roller from a paint tray, massaging well into the substrate. Do not allow to 'pond' in profilled areas as drying will be retarded. To maximise the performance of Profloor apply a coat of Coo-Var High Performance Primer first.

    Drying Times
    Touch Dry: 4 hours.
Hard Dry: 16 hours @ 20°C. Full hardness reached over 5-7 days.
Pot life of mixed unit is 2-4 hours.
Overcoat Time: 16 hours or overnight. A maximum overcoat interval of three days is recommended.

    Anti-slip Option
A rough anti-slip surface can be provided by scattering the anti-slip aggregate between two coats of Profloor while the first coat is still wet. Each anti-slip option is enough for an area of about 36-40m², but more aggregate can be used if required.

    Mixing
Coo-Var Profloor is packed in pre-measured units and must not be split down further. The contents of the two containers (base and hardener) should be mixed thoroughly using a slow speed drill and jiffy-type paddle for a minimum of 2 mins. Add approximately 5-10% by volume of clean water to the blend and mix for a further 2 mins.

    Coverage Guide
6-10 square metres per kilo is recommended. Please note that on profiled or porous surfaces, a lower than expected coverage may be achieved. On rough or profiled substrate, the use of a long pile mohair roller is strongly recommended.

    Brushwash/Thinners
    Clean water.

    Storage
Protect from frost and abnormal heat.
