Additional information

Unlike ordinary paints, Perma-White® Satin produces a tough, scrubbable finish that withstands moisture and resists dirt pickup. Great for all interior surfaces. Perma-White® is ideal for new or previously painted wallboard, plaster ceilings and walls, and any wood trim. Perma-White® is self-priming and will bond to existing glossy paints without sanding. For most jobs, there is no need to purchase a separate primer. After removing existing mould and mildew, two coats of Perma-White® will ensure that any interior looks bright and beautiful for years.

Direction For Use

Surface Preparation
Surfaces must be clean, sound and free of dirt, dust, grease, wax, wallcovering adhesive, soap film, loose paint or other surface contamination. Wash surfaces with an appropriate household cleaning solution and rinse thoroughly. Remove all existing mould and mildew before painting using Blackfriar Fungicidal Wash. If you are concerned about mould and mildew growth on other surfaces and/or unseen places, contact a mould removal specialist. Follow appropriate guidelines for mould removal. Check for satisfactory paint adhesion by cutting an "X" with a razor blade in the old paint film. Apply cellophane tape firmly over the "X" and pull tape quickly away. If old paint releases, remove by scraping. Sand rough areas and remove dust. Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960 paint surfaces as they may contain harmful lead. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.

Two-Coat System - No Priming Required! Perma-White® is self-priming and will adhere to most sound surfaces. The first coat of Perma-White® primes and seals the surface, providing a base for the topcoat. The topcoat completes the sealing process while providing scrub resistance. Spot prime and fill all nail holes and gouges with Zinsser Ready Patch spackling compound. Seal all stains with an appropriate stain killing primer-sealer, such as B-I-N® or Bulls Eye 1-2-3® Primer-Sealer, before painting. Before applying Perma-White® to bare plaster it must first be sealed with a primer eg. Bulls Eye 1-2-3® Primer-Sealer.

Application
Shake or stir well before using. Apply with synthetic bristle brush, roller, pad applicator or sprayer. For airless spraying, use a .017 tip and high medium (2000-2600 PSI) pressure. Apply when air and surface temperatures are between 10°-32°C and humidity is less than 80%.

Dry Time
At normal temperatures, 21°C, Perma-White® dries to recoat in 2 hours.
