Surface Preparation
Shake well before and during use. Ensure timber is dry and free from dust/dirt and any surface coating including paint or varnish. Clean weathered and dirty wood and allow to dry. Where necessary sand down smooth softwood and wipe over lightly with Bird Brand White Spirit before application. Where timbers are suffering from decay, before applying, remove all decayed wood and replace with sound, treated timber.
Application
- Apply by brush.
- Apply 2 even coats covering all faces, sides and joints.
- Pay particular attention to the end grain which should be treated to saturation.
Clean Up
Remove as much product as possible from equipment prior to cleaning. Clean brushes, sprayers and any splashes/spillages with paint brush cleaner, white spirit or EcoSpirit.
