Surface Preparation
Wood species with a high content of natural wood extractives need to weather off for a minimum of 4 weeks before the initial treatment or be cleaned with Osmo Brush Cleaner and Thinner. Resinous wood, such as larch or douglas fir need to weather off for at least 6 weeks. Pressure impregnated wood, massaranduba, bangkirai or garapa need to weather off for at least 3 months.
Wood surfaces must be clean, dry and frost free. Do not thin. Stir well before use. Thoroughly clean or lightly sand old microporous stains or completely remove old varnishes before application.
A trial application is required, especially for unfamiliar surfaces.
Application
Use a stiff brush or a lint free cloth and apply thinly and evenly to the clean and dry wood surface along wood grain.
Allow for good ventilation while drying.
Cleaning up
Dispose of leftover product and completely emptied packaging according to local official guidelines. Only completely emptied cans can be recycled.
