A traditional glaziers putty which is over paintable and ideal for both wood and metal frames.
This putty is hand applied to the external face of door and window frames and has good workability.

Surface Preparation
All surfaces must be dry, clean and free from dirt, dust, grease and any other contamination.
Softwood frames must be primed with an oil based priming paint conforming to BS 5358 or an acrylic based primer conforming to BS 5082.
Galvanised Steel frames must be well weathered before glazing or primed with a suitable metal primer. If calcium plumbate primer is used, it must be allowed to completely harden before glazing.
Application
- Apply the putty to the rebate, bed the glass and secure with non-rusting glazing sprigs or pins.
- Apply putty to the front of glass, trim off the excess, finishing to a smooth surface with a putty knife.
- Allow the surface of the putty to sufficiently harden before over painting (usually 7 to 21 days, this may be extended in cold or damp conditions.
Clean Up
Excess adhesive may be removed with a damp cloth. Putty on clothing may be removed with water before the adhesive dries.
