Come and Celebrate with Brewers Maidstone!

This month, Brewers Maidstone are celebrating their 40th birthday and are inviting you to celebrate!

The Brewers store in Maidstone is celebrating their milestone birthday between the 9^th-13^th October - Dean and the team invite you to come in and celebrate with them. Joe has been with Brewers for 20 years and Barbara 25 years…so they know a thing or two about paint! With Jenna, Andrew and Susan, the whole team are on hand to answer any questions you might have about your upcoming project.

A Brief History…

Before becoming a Brewers Decorator Centre, the Maidstone branch was a laundrette. As a smaller branch, Maidstone was classed as a sub depot that came under the remit of the main branch at Gillingham. The original staff members were Ray Hollamby, Jan Tooth, Colin Tillman, Maureen Amos who all became long serving members of staff, each with twenty years’ service or more.

When Brewers Maidstone first opened, the way the branch operated was very different compared to current branch trading today. Everything was done by pen and paper, ordering was done daily with members of staff going around the shop, looking for gaps, filling out an order pad then telephoning the supplier to order the items of stock that were required. Account customers’ details were held on a rotary card file and booking out orders were in the form of manual invoices and a price book.

Now, customers can take advantage of our Click & Collect service, Collect Anytime lock box system and daily deliveries! We also have state of the art tinting facilities from brands including Albany, Little Greene, Johnstone’s and Dulux, giving you thousands of colours to choose from…including our bespoke colour match service!
