Life Changing Experiences at Dreamland Mission Hospital

Earlier this month, we announced the latest group of Brewers employees were headed to Western Kenya to be a part of an unforgettable experience whilst lending a helping hand at Dreamland Mission Hospital. Brewers have been supporters of Dreamland Mission Hospital since 2012 and have had the pleasure of watching the hospital grow over the years.

DMH provides quality care at prices the rural community in the Mount Elgon and Bungoma county of Western Kenya can afford. The hospital is vital to the community as healthcare is hard to access in this part of Africa. 

Our colleagues had the chance to meet the incredible people who ensure the smooth operations at the hospital including the proprietors, doctors, nurses and of course the patients who receive treatment at Dreamland. 

The Dream Team were initially tasked with redecorating the reception area and the brand-new dedicated Baby Unit. Along with local painters and decorators, they were able renovate many more areas of the hospital and have truly unforgettable experiences along the way.

They also had the chance to soak up the local culture and meet a wide range of people from the community. The group received the warmest of welcomes and had the opportunity to learn about local customs and even play a game or two of football!

The group of Brewers colleagues were also able to learn a little Swahili, sample local produce and have the opportunity to view the beautiful wildlife at the local nature reserve.
