Creating A New Block Of Hotels…For Sparrows!

Brewers Ashford were delighted to help out a local youth project which supports underprivileged children, or those with challenging behaviour, by giving them the chance to get involved on a nearby smallholding.

Gareth Bradford (known as Brad), who is the scout leader for a local village called Shadoxhurst and has worked as a local councillor, runs the project at Nine Acres for children who are struggling with discipline at school.

Branch Manager, Nick Brewer, provided 12 tins of Albany Super Satin at a highly reduced price which meant the children could paint some nest boxes for a sparrow hotel and plant labels for the vegetable plot.

Brad said: ‘I just wanted to thank you for your help with the paint choices for our sparrow hotels. The students have had a great time building and painting signs and boxes and the paint you recommended has proved to be perfect for the jobs. We really appreciate your help and the friendly reception we always receive from you and the team when we come in for supplies.’
