Additional information
Preparation
Ensure surface is clean, dry and dust free. Remove any excess resin from knots by scraping then cleaning with methylated spirit.
Application
Ensure the product is thoroughly shaken prior to use. Apply evenly using a soft brush. Overlap the knot or resinous area by at least 12mm. Apply a minimum of 2 coats, allowing to fully dry between coats.
Thinning
Not required.
Limitations
Not to be used as a finishing coat. Not suitable for use under clear coatings. If knots exude excess resin we recommend that they are completely removed and made good with sound timber and wood filler or a wood stopper.
Drying Time
Touch dry in 15 - 30 minutes. Recoat after 1 hour. Drying times are based on an ambient temperature of 20°C and 50% relative humidity. Lower temperatures or higher humidity will prolong the drying and overcoating times.
Clean Up
Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before washing with methylated spirit. Do not empty into drains or water courses. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings.
Storage
Store in a dry, safe place. Do not store in environments where extreme temperatures may occur. Keep within 5-30°C. Do not store in direct sunlight.
