Picking a Front Door Colour

July 19th, 2023
What colour should you paint your front door? A common decision homeowners have to make! Luckily we have a clever bunch of customers who have shared some of their projects with us to give you some inspiration…
The most beautiful green we have ever seen
Using green on your door is a great idea to echo the great outdoors.

@willgrantham_housepainter worked on this beautiful Victorian property which required a lot of attention as the property’s exterior was completely redecorated. The colour of the door was hand mixed to create a beautiful green hue with yellow undertones, making a real statement against the masonry colours, Joanna and Flint by Little Greene. The final product looks absolutely incredible and we are obsessed!
Porch doors of dreams
The woodstain of these doors definitely create a statement entrance.
@stephenpoch.painting hand painted these doors in Sadolin Jacobean Walnut Woodstain after some repair work on some rotted areas. With the addition of potted trees, the refreshed entrance certainly encourages you in to discover the rest of the house!
Total transformation makes for a sophisticated feel
This beautifully classic door gives us all the regal feels.

@chalkandbrown shares the whole
process, showing us beautifully professional results! F&B Inchyra Blue 289
is a dark blue grey that is actually inspired by the exterior barn doors at
Inchyra House in Scotland, a gorgeous regency manor house. This colour is a modern
alternative to black and transforms in different lights, making it the perfect colour
choice for a front door.
A classic country escape we all yearn for
This Tudor-esq country house uses the classic black and white combination for a traditional look and feel.

@domprecisionpainting has used Sikkens
Satura in White for the front door and windows which has high scratch
resistance, resulting in a durable finish. With the combination of stunning
stonework, woodwork and render, using white on the doors and windows is a great
way to highlight these features, keeping the whole house cohesive.
