Supporting The Balsam Centre With Albany Paints

50L of Albany Paints were donated to The Balsam Centre, an organisation committed to improving the health and quality of life of the people of Wincanton and the surrounding areas, offering personalised support for all ages.

Staff at The Balsam Centre in Wincanton are delighted with the calm atmosphere of their newly redecorated community nursery, Conkers.

Here are just some of their weekly activities at the centre:

·         Family support

·         Adult and youth counselling

·         Men's shed

·         Dementia café

·         Maternal mental health

·         Cooking group

·         Health and buggy walks

The paint was used to provide a welcome refresh for Conkers, the Balsam Centre’s community nursery, which was the area in greatest need of redecoration. 

Sarah Emery, Conkers Nursery Manager, said:

“We were all so excited when we saw the transformation. The newly painted nursery looked so fresh and clean, we couldn’t wait to show the children. The contrast in the two colours works perfectly together and we all love the calm atmosphere it brings.”

The Balsam Centre is used by over 480 people every week, and the ongoing refurbishment of key areas is vital in supporting people with their health, wellbeing, social and economic needs by creating more comfortable and welcoming community spaces.
