Brewers Gloucester Helps Out With Some 'Can-Can's' Of Paint!

September 30th, 2024

There were plenty of high kicks at a Moulin Rouge-themed charity event, thanks in part to the generous donation of supplies from Gloucester branch.

The Painswick Summer Ball is organised by the local community, creating a spectacular event with the help of local businesses all in aid of raising as much money as possible for great causes.

Steve Jope, Branch Manager at Gloucester worked with Zinsser to donate some paint to decorate the bar at the event, which managed to raise over £11,000 for a teenage cancer charity called Young Lives vs Cancer on behalf of Team Daisy fundraising. Steve said: ‘We have been in contact with a couple of the charity organisers, Gillian and Mark Hancock, for two years or so, so we were delighted to help out.

Young Lives vs Cancer are the charity that helps children and young people (0-25), and their families find the strength to face whatever cancer throws at them. They work hard to make sure each family has what they need to get through cancer.

It could be a financial grant for a parent struggling to keep their child warm through their treatment or for a young person who can’t afford to get to hospital. The £11,000 raised at the ball will certainly help fund some of the incredible work Young Lives vs Cancer carries out.
