The Brewers Group Acquires Paintwell Stores And Industrial Paint Distributor Promain

The Brewers Group is pleased to confirm that an agreement has been reached to acquire the majority of Paintwell stores as well as the industrial paint distributor, Promain from the administrators of Paintwell.

We are working closely with Paintwell and the administrators to ensure a smooth transition for store colleagues, customers and all stakeholders involved.

Karl Jones, Commercial Director, said “The demise of the Paintwell business is a sad moment for our industry. We are grateful to have been able to take on many of their stores along with almost 200 store colleagues. We welcome our new colleagues, recognising many of them have been part of the decorating industry for many years. Our priority now is to ensure a smooth transition for both colleagues and customers.”

Brewers is a long-established family business, founded in Sussex in 1904, serving the trade and the general public with paints, wallpapers and everything needed to carry out a decorating project. Brewers has a focus on giving the best possible customer service – offering knowledge and advice to all decorators.
