Getting Ready for Dreamland!

been supporters of Dreamland Mission Hospital since 2012. We have had the
pleasure of watching the hospital grow over the years, both in size and in
scope of the medical services they can offer. They now employ over 100 staff
locally and treat 40,000 patients a year, providing specialist eye, orthopaedic
and maxillofacial surgery.
DMH provides
quality care at prices the rural community in the Mount Elgon and Bungoma
county of Western Kenya can afford. The hospital is vital to the community as healthcare
is hard to access in this part of Africa.
For over a
decade, the company has been sending small teams to visit and help with the
hospital’s development in this remote corner of Kenya. Last year, Brewers’
support enabled the addition of an X-Ray unit for DMH which has further
enhanced the care they are able to offer the community.
The next
project for DMH is to create a dedicated Baby Unit in an existing building on
site. This will be equipped with incubators and specialist equipment to treat
babies who are born prematurely. Before the equipment can be bought in and
installed, the space must be fully renovated. This is the project our 2023
‘Dream Team’ will be undertaking later this month.

Midlands Regional Manager Marcus Ward, Joe Guarino (Customer Support Line), Louis Zing (Morecambe store), Annika King (Exeter store), Kat Robinson (Redhill store) and Sarah Moore (Loughborough store) are all flying from London Heathrow to Nairobi to make their contribution to the ongoing growth and success of the DMH. It will undoubtedly also be a life changing experience for them. We wish them all the best and we cannot wait to hear all about their activities at Dreamland Mission Hospital!
