The East Peckham Methodist Church is just round the corner from our Tonbridge store, so Brewers wanted to give something back to such an important place for the community, donating £2,000 to their major refurbishment project.

The project was initiated to drastically improve the space including:

·         New disabled access

·         Constructing a new, level entrance with a ramp

·         Complete toilet refurbishment

·         The creation of a new cafe space for people to socialise

·         Complete redecoration throughout the building

·         New flooring, windows and heating system

·         Damp treatment

·         Electrical re-wiring

·         Roof repairs

·         Exterior landscaping

The church is home to a wide range of local community groups who will benefit greatly from the refurbished spaces. Some of these include a carers group, dementia support group, a historical society, the Boys Brigade, a local band and village coffee mornings.

The finished building has now officially reopened to the community, ready to be put to good use!
