Helping the Next Generation of Decorators with Brewers Norwich

April 5th, 2022

Richard Poole, Branch Manager of Norwich (North), donated a range of mis-tinted paints and spare rolls of wallpaper after spotting a request for help from Action Community Enterprises CIC, requesting the donation of supplies to introduce construction students to the wonderful world of painting and decorating. Delivery Driver, Jason Wigger was also happy to deliver the donation right to the door!

Action Community Enterprises CIC (better known as ACE) is a specialist provider based just outside Norwich, who have been delivering quality vocational training and alternative education since 2011.

ACE believe learning should be available to everyone, especially those that are not traditionally ‘classroom shaped’. To achieve that, they provide a wide variety of support programmes and vocational qualifications for young people and adults who, due to a variety of barriers, need additional and individualised help to move them towards further education, apprenticeships, or employment.

ACE offer a fantastic construction course and asked for materials to help with the students’ coursework. Richard was more than happy to help with some decorating supplies to teach students the foundations of painting and decorating. Now unwanted supplies could be put to fantastic use teaching the next generation of trade professionals.

This generous donation of paint and wallpaper will greatly benefit our students while they are studying for their decorating units, learning plastering, painting, and wallpapering practical skills. These skills will help many of them go on to gain apprenticeships or employment within the construction sector. Thank you, Brewers!

The students have done a fantastic job so far and we wish them the very best for the rest of their course!
