PROPS is Brewing Up a Storm in the Community

October 17th, 2022

The Brewers Foundation were thrilled to be able to support Bristol’s first disability led Brewery by donating 60L of paint to create a mural within the space.

PROPS is a small, local charity who support over 50 adults with learning disabilities across Bristol and South Gloucestershire through skills development, professional training and employment opportunities. Most of the trainees come to PROPS 3 days per week and take part in a variety of project areas from horticulture and cooking to sports leadership and PROPS’ own print workshop.

PROPS took over Tapestry Brewery this year and have dedicated an extraordinary amount of time and energy into transforming the brewery into a place the community can really benefit from. The brewery had a real industrial style that PROPS wanted to enhance with the creation of a mural to add some identity to the space. Working with local artist Zed, trainees helped to design and paint the mural which looks incredible!

As a small, local charity every donation makes a huge difference, and you can see exactly where it goes by visiting any of our projects. With thanks to Brewers for providing paint and emulsion, we have just launched Bristol’s First Disability-Led Brewery.

Tapestry Brewery by PROPS, like all our projects, is designed to train and employ adults with learning disabilities, breaking down the barriers they face in business and society from the ground up.

Konna Beeson, Fundraising Manager for PROPS

To help raise awareness of the brewery and raise vital donations to continue growing post-Covid, PROPS is launching an online raffle from 17th October until 19th December with £1000’s worth of prizes up for grabs which have been kindly donated.

Donations raised from every ticket goes into developing projects just like Bristol’s First Disability-Led Brewery from the ground up so please take part this Christmas! https://www.peoplesfundraising.com/raffle/PROPS
