Proud to Sponsor the Rockinghorse Children’s Charity

November 15th, 2021

Brewers were proud sponsors of the Rockinghorse quiz night which took place on Bonfire Night at the end of Brighton Pier.

The Rockinghorse Children’s Charity has been supporting children in Sussex for over 50 years. As the fundraising arm of the Royal Alexandra Children’s Hospital, the charity also supports the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, the Special Care Baby Unit at the Princess Royal Hospital in Haywards Heath as well as many other projects across the county.

Working closely with hospital consultants and paediatricians, the charity helps ensure the provision of the correct equipment and services most beneficial to each child. Over the past year, 50 grants totalling £430,000 have been given by the charity.

As a team of seven, the charity is passionate about finding fun and innovative ways for people to support them including many events organised throughout the year. The Bonfire Quiz Night was just one of these amazing events Brewers' sponsors.

160 people attended the lively event, and the night raised an incredible £6,000 for the charity. The money raised will go towards the projects the charity is currently fundraising for. These include resuscitation training equipment for St Richards Hospital in Chichester, infant resuscitaire equipment for the Trevor Mann Baby Unit, distraction toys for children at The Alexandra Children’s hospital, sensory equipment for the Whoopsadaisy Charity and investing in Art Therapy sessions for young people with chronic medical conditions.
