Thank you for helping us support Save the Rhino International!

December 16th, 2022

This autumn, we donated 50p to Save the Rhino International for every litre sold of Albany Durable Matt in any tinted colour. We are very pleased to announce we were able to raise a fantastic £7,772.50!

Save the Rhino International is a conservation charity, dedicated to ensuring all species of rhino are protected for generations to come. They are currently undertaking several projects to help with their mission to support endangered rhinos in Africa and Asia:

  1. Protecting rhinos - at the very heart of their work is the protection of rhinos in the wild through funding rangers, their dogs and rhino care.
  2. Reducing illegal trade - stopping people from wanting to buy rhino horns and gaining insights into stopping the illegal trade of rhino horns.
  3. Engaging communities - supporting community-led conservation so people living near rhinos are inspired to protect wildlife.
  4. Bringing experts together - working with experts and sharing information, so that conservationists have the best possible skills to save the rhinos.

Thanks to you, we were able to donate £7,772.50 which could buy one of the following:

  • 2 x teacher training workshops which will support local Zambian teachers to teach a full curriculum of conservation education in their schools
  • 7 x medical treatments for rhinos such as removing snares
  • 31 months of a Conservation Education Officer’s salary
  • 63 x rangers’ full uniform
  • 67 x first aid training courses for a ranger that could one day save a wounded ranger out in the field
  • 194 children could have the chance to see rhinos for the first time in North Luangwa
  • 518 conservation guides that are full of lesson plans and activity packs for teachers to better educate their students
  • 971 ration packs for rangers in South Africa
  • 2,590 days of dog care who are trained to track down poachers
