Supporting VIVID With Product For New Community Space
February 20th, 2024
Justin from Brewers Portsmouth
(Farlington) donated a series of mis-tinted paints and sundries to help VIVID, a
leading provider of affordable homes and support services in the south of
England.
VIVID’s current project:
VIVID has
been supporting the local Community Kettle Intergenerational Hub – that has
fantastic potential for creating a valuable space for the community. The space that was formerly Barclays Bank,
was an empty shell and needed a makeover before they could open their doors to
the public and deliver the long list of community initiatives they have
planned.
The Cosham
Community Kettle asked VIVID for help with building supplies and paint, so the
VIVID place shaper approached the local branch of Brewers who were only too
happy to help this new charity with support! Justin offered paint that may have
otherwise gone to waste and also agreed to mix paint to the Kettle’s corporate
colours along with some sundries.
The paint
was delivered on Friday evening, with local volunteers working many hours that
weekend to ensure the space will be welcoming with beautiful colours up on the
walls. It is now ready for what they are hoping will be the start of a
community café and meeting place for all ages.
“Thank you so much Justin, the manager at Brewers, you and your friendly team are amazing. Your donation will help make this space into something truly special for this community.”
Janice Andrews, Place Shaping Officer
from VIVID.
