Crown Trade New Build Acrylic Primer Undercoat is a medium VOC content finish. A product which is thinned with water and is applied by brush and is suitable for interior and exterior use.
Do not apply when air or substrate temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C or when the relative humidity is above 80% during application or the drying period.

Crown Trade New Build Acrylic Primer Undercoat has been specially formulated to work with Crown Trade New Build Acrylic gloss to combat the accelerated yellowing often associated with new build environments. When used as a basecoat for Crown Trade New Build Acrylic Gloss, the system is guaranteed to show no visible yellowing. The system has been developed to benefit from good gloss and flow, not easily obtained in water based gloss paints.
Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are sound, dry, clean and free from dirt, oil, grease or other contamination. For new or burnt-off woodwork, rub down the surface with glass paper to a smooth finish and treat any knots and resinous parts with knotting. Previously painted surfaces should be thoroughly washed and abraded to provide a key, rinse with clean water and allow to dry.
Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
Application
Stir gently. Crown Trade New Build Acrylic Primer Undercoat may be applied by brush or roller. Apply liberally and evenly and then lay off quickly. Do not apply to surfaces when the temperature is less than 8°C or in very humid conditions.
Spreading Capacity
Up to 14m² per litre on a clean smooth surface. Spreading rate is dependent upon surface texture and porosity.
Drying
Touch dry in 1 hour.
Recoatable after 4 hours.
Cleaning
Clean equipment with water immediately after use.

Ensure this pack is stored upright and secure at all times. Crown Paints Ltd cannot accept liability for damage caused by spillage. Do not store below 5°C or above 40°C
