Crown Trade Stronghold Smooth Masonry is a high opacity, water-based paint for exterior brick, rendered surfaces and building boards.
It has anti-carbonation properties which helps resist dirt retention.
Dries to a smooth, matt finish with excellent weather resistance and 10 years proven durability.
Application is by brush, medium or long pile roller depending on surface texture or airless spray with coverage up to 16sq/m per litre.
Touch dry between 1-2 hours and recoatable between 4-6 hours.

FOR EXTERIOR USE
Crown Trade's formulation includes a tough, plastic resin base to ensure maximum weather protection and a smooth attractive matt finish. This product is not suitable for use on common Fletton bricks or engineering bricks.
Preparation
Ensure all surfaces are sound, dry, clean and free from dirt, oil, grease or other contamination. Remove any loose or flaking material. If mould growth is evident this should be treated with Crown Trade Fungicidal Solution and allowed to dry for 24 hours. If the growth is heavy it should be removed with a stiff brush, not wire and re-treated if necessary. Porous or chalky surfaces should be treated with Crown Trade Stabilising Solution.
Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
Application
Stir thoroughly. Crown Trade Smooth Stronghold may be applied by brush, roller or airless spray. DO NOT APPLY Crown Trade Smooth Stronghold in temperatures below 8°C or when there is a risk of heavy rain or frost.
Spreading Capacity
On surfaces of low porosity, e.g. rendering: 14-16m² per litre. On textured surfaces of low porosity e.g. pebbledash: 4-6m² per litre. These figures are only an approximate guide due to the variation of different building surfaces and may be reduced.
Drying
Touch dry in 1-2 hours.
Recoatable after 4-6 hours.
Cleaning
Clean equipment with water immediately after use.
Transportation and Storage
Ensure this pack is stored upright and secure at all times. Crown Paints Ltd cannot accept liability for damage caused by spillage. Do not store below 5°C or above 40°C.
