FOR EXTERIOR USE
Crown Trade Stronghold Primer Undercoat and Exterior Gloss is a two part system formulated to provide long lasting, high gloss protection for exterior wood and correctly primed metal.
Crown Trade Stronghold Exterior Gloss provides exceptional durability that lasts for years. When applied to exterior wood it remains flexible longer and is more resistant to cracking and flaking than traditional gloss.
Ensure all surfaces are sound, dry, clean and free from dirt, oil, grease or other contamination. Ensure all loose and flaking material is removed. Bare wood should be primed with Crown Trade Stronghold Primer Undercoat and have a moisture content below 18%. Bare metal should be primed with Crown Trade Universal Metal Primer, followed by Crown Trade Stronghold Primer Undercoat. Previously painted surfaces in sound condition should be washed with warm water detergent solution and abraded. For maximum protection or for where a high contrast colour change is required, apply Crown Trade Stronghold Primer Undercoat. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
Stir thoroughly. Apply by brush or roller. Always intermix packs for colour consistency. Please check for colour accuracy prior to application. Crown Paints is not liable for decorating costs caused as a result of an incorrect colour being applied. Apply by brush. For best results, 2 coats of Crown Trade Stronghold Exterior Gloss are recommended.
