Vinyl Silk is a low VOC content mid sheen finish. A washable product which is thinned with water and is applied by brush, roller or spray. 
Suitable for interior use. Touch dry in 1-2 hours and recoatable after 2-4 hours. 

Vinyl Silk Silk is a decorative coating providing a mid sheen finish for use on walls and ceilings. Washable products are ideal for medium traffic areas such as lounges and bedrooms. 

Can be applied to coated plaster surfaces without thinning. On new plaster, it is ideal to use a thinned first coat of matt emulsion or contract emulsion as a priming coat, prior to finishing with silk emulsion.

Additional Information

A top quality washable emulsion based on unique AkzoNobel technology, providing a tough, mid-sheen finish. Where condensation is a problem, for example some kitchens and bathrooms, use Dulux Trade Diamond Eggshell. Suitable for all normal interior wall and ceiling surfaces.

Surface Preparation

To get the best results with Dulux Trade Vinyl Silk, make sure surfaces to be painted are sound, clean and dry (new surfaces particularly must be fully dry).

Application

  • Brush, roller or spray.
  • Stir thoroughly before use.
  • Seal new or bare surfaces with a thinned first coat of Dulux Trade Vinyl Silk (up to 1 part clean water to 5 parts paint).
  • The normal finishing process is 2 full coats of Dulux Trade Vinyl Silk, but on previously painted surfaces in good condition where similar colours are used, 1 coat may be sufficient.

Cleaning Up

After use, remove as much paint as possible from equipment before cleaning with water. Do not use or store in extremes of temperature and protect from frost. When this paint container is empty please ask your stockist about recycling.
