Johnstone's Trade Professional Undercoat is a high VOC content finish. Oil based product that can be applied by brush or roller. Alkyd based undercoat which is suitable for interior and exterior use on wood and metal surfaces. 
Premium quality which provides the perfect surface for overcoating with Gloss.

Additional Information

Surface Preparation

All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from loose and flaking material. Prime bare surfaces with the appropriate primer.

Rub down previously painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.

Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre 1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they main contain harmful lead.

Application

  • Stir well.
  • Easy to apply by brush or roller.
  • Do not apply over polystyrene surfaces.

Clearing Up

Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Replace lid firmly.

Clean equipment immediately after use with White Spirit or Turpentine Substitute.

Do not empty product into drains or watercourses.
