Johnstone's Trade Steel & Cladding Semi Gloss Topcoat is a high VOC content mid sheen finish. A washable product which is thinned with TC2 Thinner and Cleaner and is applied by brush or roller.  
For use on plastisol cladding, suitably prepared steel and other metallic surfaces.

Suitable for exterior use. Recoatable after 16-24 hours.

Surface Preparation

Cladding: Clean thoroughly with Johnstones Cleaner and Degreaser after removing all loose and flaking paint, salts etc.

Wash down with clean water. All bare areas of steel/aluminium must be suitable prepared and spot primed with Johnstones Quick Zinc Phosphate Primer.

Steel: Prepare surface and prime accordingly. If over coating an existing paint ensure the surface is clean and dry.

Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre 1960s paint surfaces over wood and metal as they may contain harmful lead.

Application

  • Stir thoroughly before use.
  • Easy to apply by brush or roller.
  • If more than one can of a colour is to be used in the same area, intermix before use.

Clearing Up

Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Replace lid firmly.

Clean equipment immediately after with TC2 Thinner and Cleaner.

Do not empty into drains and watercourses.
