Brewers Trade Contract Matt is a water-based, low odour finish for interior walls and ceilings. 

Offers good opacity and is ideally suited to the economical redecoration of ceilings and walls and also new areas including new plaster, wallboards and other interior masonry surfaces such as brick or block work. 

Application is by brush, roller or spray with coverage up to 13sq/m per litre. Touch dry within 1-2 hours and recoatable within 3-4 hours.

Brewers Contract Matt is a good opacity, low odour, water paint formulated for interior use on walls and ceilings. It provides a smooth matt finish that is ideal for application to new plaster and can also be used on wallboard and other interior masonry surfaces such as brick or block.

Preparation

All surfaces to be painted should be clean, dry and free from any loose and flaking material. Rub down glossy painted surfaces with fine waterproof abrasive paper and rinse thoroughly. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding. Seal absorbent surfaces with a solution of 1 part water to 4 parts Contract Matt.

Application

  • Stir well before use.
  • Apply paint evenly by brush or roller.
  • Avoid overspreading.
  • Ensure good ventilation during application and drying and do not apply in temperatures below 10°C or in damp conditions.

After use

Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before cleaning. Clean equipment immediately after use in warm soapy water and rinse thoroughly. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings. Do not empty into drains or watercourses. Replace lid firmly. Protect from frost. To avoid the risk of spillage, always store and transport in a secure upright position. Lift with care — gross weight does not exceed 16 kilograms. Do not use empty container for storing food.
