Macpherson Quick Dry Gloss is a water-based, low VOC content gloss finish, suitable for interior use.
A fast-drying, self-undercoating product based on acrylic resins. It can be thinned with water and provides a non-yellowing finish with minimal odour. It provides good resistance to knocking and scuffing and can be applied over most previously painted surfaces. On new surfaces apply over the top of a suitable primer.
Application is recommended by synthetic brush with coverage up to 13sq/m per litre. Touch dry in 2 hours and recoatable in 6 hours. 2 coats are recommended.

Additional Information
A fast drying, self undercoating, water thinnable product based on modern acrylic resins to provide a non-yellowing finish with minimum odour. Suitable for use on interior surfaces. Use in conjunction with Acrylic Primer Undercoat on new surfaces. Particularly useful on trim, wooden frames, skirtings etc. May also be applied in exterior locations.
Preparation and Application
- Ensure all surfaces are dry, clean and free from dirt, oil, grease or other contamination.
- Previously gloss painted surfaces should be dampened and thoroughly abraded with wet and dry abrasive paper whilst wet.
- Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
- Stir well before use.
- Supplied ready for use by brush, roller or airless spray.
- Two coats are recommended over Macpherson Primer Undercoat for new work.
- For previously painted surfaces apply two coats after thorough preparation.
- Avoid overspreading, fully load brush, complete each section as quickly as possible with minimum laying off.
- Do not use if temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C during the application and drying periods.
- Covers up to 13m2 per litre depending on surface texture and porosity
- Touch dry in 1-2 hours, recoatable after 6 hours under normal drying conditions.
- Clean equipment with water immediately after use.
