Macpherson Undercoat is a high VOC content finish. It is an oil based product that is suitable for interior and exterior use. It is touch dry in 3-5 hours and recoatable after 16-24 hours.

Additional Information

For Interior and Exterior use. Alkyd based, easy to apply with excellent covering power and flow producing a non-absorbent surface suitable for overcoating with Macpherson's Gloss finish. For most correctly prepared and primed internal and external surfaces.

Preparation and Application
  • Ensure all surfaces are sound, dry, clean and free from dirt, oil, grease or other contamination.
  • Bare surfaces should be primed with the appropriate Macpherson Primer.
  • Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
  • Previously glossed surfaces must be thoroughly abraded.
  • Stir well before use.
  • A characteristic of the new technology used in this product is that whiteness intensifies as the paint dries.
  • Supplied for use by brush or roller.
  • An additional coat of Macpherson Undercoat may be necessary over some dark backgrounds.
  • Do not apply in wet or damp weather or when temperatures drop below 8°C.
  • Covers approximately 15m² per litre depending upon surface texture.
  • Touch dry in 4-6 hours, recoatable after 16 hours under normal drying conditions.
  • Clean equipment with a proprietary cleaner immediately after use.
