Macpherson Vinyl Silk is a low VOC content silk finish. It is a washable product which is thinned with water and is suitable for interior use. It is touch dry in 2-3 hours and recoatable after 4 hours. Silk emulsion is a decorative coating providing a mid sheen finish for use on walls and ceilings.Washable products are ideal for medium traffic areas such as lounges and bedrooms.It can be applied to coated plaster surfaces without thinning. On new plaster, it is ideal to use a thinned first coat of matt emulsion or contract emulsion as a priming coat, prior to finishing with silk emulsion.

    FOR INTERIOR USE
    A durable, vinyl-based silk finish that is easy to apply, resistant to yellowing providing a highly washable coating. Suitable for the decoration of most interior wall and ceiling surfaces. Do not use on radiators or heated surfaces.

    Preparation
    Ensure all surfaces are sound, dry, clean and free from dirt, oil, grease or other contamination.
    Special precautions should be taken during surface preparation of pre-1960's paint surfaces as they may contain lead. For further advice contact the manufacturer. Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.

    Application
    Supplied ready for use by brush, roller or airless spray. For brush application a 4" flat wall brush is recommended, Thinning is not normally required but for use on porous surfaces up to 10% water may be added.
    Do not use if temperatures are likely to fall below 8°C during the application and drying periods.

    Spreading Capacity
    Approximately 13-15m² per litre depending upon surface texture and porosity.

    Drying
    Touch Dry in 2-3 hours
    Recoatable after 4 hours under normal drying conditions.

    Cleaning
    Clean equipment with water immediately after use.

    Transportation and Storage
    Ensure this pack is stored upright and secure at all times.
    Protect from frost and extremes of temperature.
    Keep out of direct sunlight.
