Macpherson Acrylic Primer / Undercoat is a fast drying water thinnable product based on modern Acrylic Resins for a dual role as both primer and undercoat. Suitable for interior use and for exterior use as an undercoat on sound previously painted surfaces.
Preparation and Application
- Previously painted surfaces must be thoroughly abraded to provide a key.
- Ensure all surfaces are sound, dry, clean and free from dirt, oil, grease or other contamination.
- Avoid the inhalation of dust. Wear a suitable face mask if dry sanding.
- Stir well before use.
- Supplied ready for use by brush, roller or airless spray (brush application is preferred when used on new work).
- Thinning is not normally required, but up to 10% water may be added for brush or roller application to porous surfaces.
- Do not apply if temperatures are likely to fall below 8∫C during the application or drying periods.
- Covers approximately 12-14m² per litre depending upon surface texture and porosity.
- Touch dry in 2 hours, recoatable after 4 hours under normal drying conditions.
- Clean equipment with water immediately after use.
