Blackfriars Acrylic Primer Undercoat is a low VOC content finish. A product which is thinned with water and is applied by brush, roller or spray. 

Suitable for both interior and exterior use. Touch dry in 1-2 hours and recoatable after 4 hours.

    Always ask your client to try their colour choice on the wall first. Colour cards and emulsion sample pots are available at your local Brewers or at designerpaint.com

    Additional information

    Surface Preparation

    Ensure the surface to be coated is clean, dry, sound and free from wax, grease or any other contamination. Treat knots and resinous areas with Blackfriar Patent Knotting and allow to dry before application. Exposed ferrous metal should be spot primed with the appropriate primer.

    Application

    • Stir thoroughly prior to use with a broad stirrer.
    • Can be applied by brush, roller or spray.
    • Two coats are recommended to give best protection.
    • On open end grain timber brush in well and apply two coats.
    • For porous surfaces or if applying by spray the product may be thinned up to 10% with water.

    Clean Up

    Remove as much product as possible from the application equipment before washing with water.

    Do not empty into drains or water courses. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings.
