Blackfriars High Performance Undercoat is a high VOC content finish. Applied by brush, it is suitable for both interior and exterior use.
Touch dry in 2-4 hours and recoatable after 16 hours.

Preparation
Ensure surface to be coated is clean, dry, sound and free from wax, grease or any other contamination. Previously painted surfaces in sound condition should be abraded and degreased prior to application of Blackfriar Undercoat. Remove any rust and abrade back to a clean bright surface before priming with Blackfriar Anti-Rust Primer. New or other bare surfaces should be primed with the appropriate Blackfriar primer followed by a coat of Blackfriar Undercoat.
Application
Stir thoroughly prior to use with a broad stirrer. The product may be applied by brush, roller or spray.
Thinning
Not recommended.
Limitations
Do not use under cold (less than 5°C), damp or humid conditions. Ensure knots are sealed with Blackfriar Patent Knotting Solution.
Coverage
Up to 14m² per litre per coat.
Drying Time
Touch dry in 2 - 4 hours. Recoat after 16 hours and within 3 days. Drying times are based on an ambient temperature of 20°C and 50% relative humidity. Lower temperatures or higher humidity will prolong the drying and overcoating times.
Clean Up
Remove as much product as possible from application equipment before washing with white spirit. Do not empty into drains or water courses. Some local authorities have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings.
Storage
Store in a dry, safe place. Do not store in environments where extreme temperatures may occur. Keep within 5-30°C. Do not store in direct sunlight.
