The Osmo Wood Wax Finish is a natural oil wood wax that can be used on interior surfaces. The finish is durable and hard-wearing, being dirt and water-resistant. It is a microporous, breathable finish that does not crack, peel or flake with no sanding necessary for spot repairs or future applications. It is saliva-resistant and sweatproof, suitable for children’s toys.
Application is by brush or roller with coverage up to 24sq/m per litre.

Surface preparation

Wood Surface must clean, dry and frost free. Ready to use, do not thin. Stir well before use. Clean old microporous stains thoroughly. Old paints and lacquers must be completely removed.

Fill small cracks, larger joints or holes in wood.

Sand wood surface carefully, begin with coarse sandpaper. Before applying oil, remove sanding dust from the surface.

If possible, apply the first coat to all sides before installation. A trial application is required, especially for unfamiliar surfaces.

Application

Transparent colour (one coat): With a flat brush, oil finish applicator fleece or microfiber roller, apply very thinly to the clean and dry wood surface along the wood grain and spread well.

For a more subtle stained effect, apply thinly with a lint-free cloth and within 20 minutes, wipe away cleanly and evenly. Ventilate well while drying.

Intensive colour (two coats): With a flat brush, oil finish applicator fleece or microfiber roller, apply very thinly to the clean and dry wood surface along the grain and spread well. Ventilate well while drying. Apply the second coat, also thinly.
