Sikkens Cetol BL Opaque is a water-based semi-gloss finish woodstain for exterior wood. 

Suitable for both softwood and hardwood surfaces such as windows, doors, conservatories, cladding and fascia board. A solid coating with excellent coverage that will hide surfaces defects. Both flexible and microporous for long lasting protection. 

Application is by brush with coverage up to 8sq/m per litre. Touch dry in 1 hour and recoatable in 6 hours.

Additional Information

Surface Preparation

New Woodwork: Dust down, degrease and sand substrate. Fill holes and other defects with Componex WR. Apply one coat of Cetol BL Primer or Cetol HLS.

Previously Treated: Apply two finishing coats of Cetol BL Opaque. Wet sand substrate with waterproof abrasive paper. Apply two finishing coats of Cetol BL Opaque. Remove old coatings.

Application

  • Do not thin.
  • Stir thoroughly before use.
  • Apply by brush or roller.

Clean Up

Clean the brushes and equipment immediately with water.
