Sikkens Cetol BL Primer is a water-based priming coat for exterior wood. 
Suitable for both softwoods and hardwoods where it is flexible, microporous and provides good adhesion for BL finishing coats. Bleeding knots and resins is prevented. 

Application is by brush with coverage up to 10sq/m per litre, recoatable between 4-6 hours.

Surface Preparation

New Woodwork: Dust down, degrease and sand substrate. Fill holes and other defects with Componex WR. Apply one coat of Cetol BL Primer. Apply two finishing coats of a suitable finish such as Cetol BL Opaque. Waterborne products are sensitive for rubber containing plasticizers, such as flexible PVC-strips.

Application

  • Do not thin.
  • Stir thoroughly before use.
  • Apply with a brush or roller.

Clean Up

Clean the brushes and equipment immediately with water.
