Sikkens Cetol Novatech is solvent-based woodstain for exterior wood. 
Low build and translucent, ideal for larger exterior wooden areas such as timber cladding and structural woodwork. Cetol Novatech is a microporous product suitable for use without primers with good penetration and adhesion. Resistant to UV damage, surface mould and algae. 

Application is by brush with coverage up to 20sq/m per litre. Touch dry between 3-5 hours and recoatable in 16 hours. 2 coats are recommended.

Surface Preparation

New Woodwork: 1 first coat Cetol Novatech followed by 1 coat of Cetol Novatop or Cetol Novatech or alternatively 2 top-coats Cetol THB, Cetol Filter 7, Cetol TGL plus or Cetol TGL Satin. In case of substitution of 2 coats Cetol HLS followed by; 1 coat Cetol THB or 1 coat Cetol Filter 7: 1 coat of Cetol Novatech followed by 1 coat Cetol THB or 1 coat Cetol Filter 7.

Due to the very good penetration properties, the first coat of Cetol Novatech can entirely disappear in the wood. This depends on porosity and type of the wood. For best results, it is necessary to keep the interval between applications of the coats as short as possible. This period should not exceed 1 month.

Application

  • Do not thin.
  • Stir thoroughly before use.
  • Apply by brush.

Clean Up

Clean the brushes and equipment immediately with White Spirit.
