Brewers Decorators’ Ultimate Caulk is a high quality, low odour, acrylic sealant which is designed to prevent crazing, cracking and discolouration of the paint film when over-painted with most water-based and synthetic paints. It adheres without primer to most – even slightly damp – substrates and will not corrode metal.
Specifically developed for sealing connection joints between stairs, walls, ceilings, skirting boards, windowsills, wooden and metal window frames. Concrete and brickwork and for filling cracks, screw and nail holes in walls and ceilings of wood, plaster, gypsum, brickwork and concrete. Suitable for interior and *exterior use.

*Exterior use only in dry weather conditions for at least 5 hours after application.

Directions

Surfaces must be solid, clean, dry, and free from grease and dust. Very porous substrates such as gypsum, aerated concrete and limestone etc should be primed using a mixture of 1 part Ultimate Caulk and 2 parts water. Apply at temperatures of +5°C to +40°C (applies to environment and substrate). Cut the cartridge seal and screw on the nozzle which should be cut to the required size. Using a skeleton gun, apply the product into the gap or joint ensuring a good solid fill. If required, place masking tape along edges removing within 10 minutes of application. Tool using a spatula wetted with clean water within 10 minutes of application. Uncured sealant can be removed with water.

Limitations

Among others, it is not recommended for use on PE, PP, PC, PMMA, PTFE, soft plastics, neoprene and bituminous substrates. Curing is subject to humidity and temperature. Not recommended for continuous water immersion. Compatibility and adhesion tests prior to application are recommended. It is the user's responsibility to determine suitability. Smooth off whilst wet, do not attempt to abrade when cured. Store between +5°C and +25°C in cool, dry conditions. Whilst crazing, cracking, discolouration is unlikely, it cannot be guaranteed.
