In detail

Albany Fungicidal wash is specially formulated to prevent and eradicate the growth of fungi mould, algae and lichen from most masonry surfaces. Suitable for use on plaster, brickwork, cement and stone. Can also be used on most common types of masonry wall surfaces, although a small test area application is recommended to verify compatibility.

Albany Fungicidal Wash is a multi surface treatment which can be used on either interior or exterior surfaces.

Additional information

Albany Fungicidal Wash is the recommended treatment for exterior surfaces containing organic growth prior to the application of Albany Masonry Paint. It kills and prevents the growth of algae, moss and green slime on external masonry and is also suitable for use on roofs, paths and interior surfaces such as tiles and paintwork, where fungi, mould and mildew are present.

Application

Dilute 1 part product with 4 parts of water to give 1.0% w/w ai

Exterior Masonry

Remove all loose matter and visible growth. Apply liberally during dry weather by brush, ensuring that the surface is completely wet. Leave for 24 hours before decorating.

Interior Surfaces

(e.g. tiles and paintwork). Remove any encrusted mould by brush or scraping. Apply Albany Fungicidal Wash by brush to the affected surfaces. If redecorating, allow at least 24 hours before removing the excess treatment by washing with clean water.

Paths & Roofs

Use sprinkler bar on watering can for paths. When the growth has been killed the dead matter may weather away naturally otherwise leave for at least 24 hours before brushing off. Two applications may be necessary if growth is prolific, leaving 36 hours between applications. If it is not possible to remove moss growth prior to treatment a solution of 1 part Albany Fungicidal Wash to 2 parts water should be used.
