Swindon Paint Fest Transforms the Streets by Painting Elites!

September 8th, 2023

At Brewers we absolutely love a paint festival, so we were thrilled to be able to help Swindon Paint Fest once again, donating over 200L of Albany Paint to incredibly talented artists who designed murals for all over the town.

Founded in 2022 by Artsite Ltd, Swindon Paint Fest transformed the town into a hub of creativity, creating large scale murals, live painting, art market, exhibitions, workshops, dance and music!

Over 50 talented artists who are renowned for their work across the globe painted murals in their own distinct styles for the Swindon community to discover across the town.

Back in the 1980s, Swindon became the unlikely murals capital of the UK and the town once boasted over 40 murals. Only legendary Ken White’s 1976 Golden Lion Bridge and Sarah Faulkner’s 1985 Arkells Brewery seem to be left, so it’s become one of the key goals to put Swindon firmly back on the street art map once again.

We had the chance to visit Swindon before the official launch of Swindon Paint Fest and met some of the incredibly talented and dedicated artists who were so excited to be a part of the festival…they also told us how much they enjoyed using Albany!
