After decades of 70’s brown, the Northcourt Community Centre in Abingdon has undergone a much needed repaint thanks to Brewers Decorator Centre in Abingdon, who have donated hundreds of pounds worth of paint to the project.
The centre is in a much brighter and attractive tone of red, giving a more vibrant and contemporary look.
David Ward, who has recently taken over as chair of the Northcourt Centre, said, “A repaint was well overdue. The building has been here since the 1960s and over the years the exterior had weathered badly.
When we first estimated the cost, being a charity we were planning to fundraise, but on approaching Brewers they kindly volunteered to donate the paint.”
The Northcourt Centre is a much-valued local community resource, with around 300 regular visitors using its facilities every week.
